Hello! My name is Emma Gorton and I am 18 years old.  I am from the small town of Vinton, Iowa.  My family consists of my parents and my four siblings- three brothers (one being my twin) and a sister.  They are some of my favorite people in the whole world.  I have been going to church my entire life, but I started to take my faith more seriously about 3 years ago.  I found my call to ministry while reading a devotion on Phillipians and now I have a tattoo referencing Phillipians 1:21-26 because those verses explain my life's purpose.  I really enjoy traveling, so I have done quite a bit of it in my life.  However, I have never left the country and I have never gone on a mission trip, so I am extremely excited to be a part of World Race Gap Year.  Some other activities that I enjoy include spending time in nature, rock climbing, playing board games, running, and playing soccer.  Those hobbies might hint to another fact that I usually have a lot of energy.
